Family Caregiver Support Group
Caregiving for a family member is one of the greatest challenges and opportunities a person can experience in their lifetime. Belonging to a support group can be a critical lifeline on this journey of being a caregiver. The goal of our group is to share practical, emotional/mental, and spiritual support to family caregivers.
In a confidential, safe-space, group members can be heard and listen and learn from other caregivers. Here is a time and place to share experiences, feelings, frustrations, and rewards one encounters in the role of a family caregiver and take the time for a gaining perspective of the care-receiver. It is a “time-out” for caregivers to seek care for themselves while learning about community resources as well as more effective methods of coping with the demands of caregiving. We also welcome people providing care for family members with terminal illness.
There is no charge for this meeting and/or resource materials; all family caregivers are welcome!
Meetings have been put on-hold for now.
