TLC Quilters

Tender, Loving, Care

Our group of quilters meets on the third and fourth Thursdays of each month, except June-August.  About 20 people are involved in this ministry that started in 2001.  Some people cut fabric at home, sew blocks together to make tops, and others tie the quilts at church.  The volunteer that threads the needles is important too!  The quilts are distributed around the world through Lutheran World Relief.  They help people who have been affected by war, disaster and poverty.

For many a quilt is  a warm and cozy new bed cover.  Have you ever thought about all the other uses a quilt may have?  A quilt can be:

  • a baby carrier

  • a market display

  • a sack for transporting goods

  • a sunshade

  • a shawl

  • a reminder that someone, far away cares and loves you

Everyone is welcome to join us!  Please contact the church office to find out more details.
